Ethan learns how to play a tune on his little piano!

Ethan’s ABA therapist teaches him to play a tune.

The most amazing thing happened today! We already knew that Ethan has some musical inclinations. He learned how to hum before he learned how to talk. He knows the melody of several nursery rhymes by heart, including Slippery Fish, Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle, Open Shut, Goodbye Song, Are You Sleeping, and more! Just this week, he said at least five new words – break, shower, truck, shoes, milk and cracker. And today, his ABA therapist guided him to play “Mary Had A Little Lamb” on his little piano. After a few repetitions, he played a very close approximation of the tune! I had never seen him learn anything so quickly. This makes me so happy. I am already looking into toddler piano lessons! I think we’ve found Ethan’s niche!
